Permission was given for Devore (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Approaching the final half furlong, Further Measure (USA), placed second, moved slightly left- handed giving a bump to a weakening Wahoo King (IRE), unplaced, causing the gelding to become unbalanced and resulting in its rider easing his mount through to the line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Further Measure (USA).
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Robeam (IRE), which had virtually refused to race and only consented to walk for a short distance after it eventually left the stalls, whereupon it was quickly pulled up.
The representative of Michael Mullineaux was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also refused to race at Hereford on 11 December 2024 and Doncaster on 10 January 2024, the matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Kieran O’Neill reported that Anisoptera (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong and inside the final half furlong and Daniel Muscutt reported that Mamdoh (GB), placed fourth, was restless in the stalls.
