E. O'Connell, rider of Flemenspower, trained by Lorcan Joseph Donnelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered accidental interference at the start, stumbled and was unseated. Owing to the low lying sun and in the interests of safety, the Stewards gave permission for hurdle number 3 to be omitted from all hurdle races today.
