Owing to the low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fence number five to be omitted from this race
The Raceday Stewards wished to interview Mr R. James, rider of Vaureal (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. As Mr. R. James was unavailable to attend the enquiry the Raceday Stewards referred the matter to the Referrals Committee to consider if there was a possible breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and R10.3(f)(force).
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards (110 = 11st 12lbs) Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
