The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend turning into the straight involving Palamon, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed second, Find A Fortune, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed first, and Goody Four Shoes, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fourth, where it appeared Goody Four Shoes got tight for room and had to check

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.Stone-Walsh said he was waiting for room before moving out

D.J. Gilligan said he kept his racing line around the bend. D.J. O'Keeffe said he had to take a check after getting tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D.J. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (first offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays

Owing to the low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number five to be omitted from this race
