Shortly after entering the back straight, Dalatara (GB), unplaced, which was being ridden with no irons following the stirrup leather snapping, shifted right-handed inconveniencing Trackman (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching 2½ furlongs out, Ayyab (GB), placed fourth, edged slightly left-handed causing Paternoster Square (FR), unplaced, to be eased when briefly left short of room on the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ayyab (GB).
Following the race, Harry Davies reported that Ayyab (GB), placed fourth, ran green and Dylan Hogan reported that his right stirrup leather on Dalatara (GB), unplaced, had snapped entering the first bend, which placed him at a distinct disadvantage for the remainder of the race; After inspecting the broken equipment post- race, the Stewards considered that the failure could not have been predicted with the stirrup leather apparently being in a serviceable condition prior.
Therefore, they took no further action.
