The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr B.J. White, rider of The Green Lady, weighed in at 1.9 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and suspended him for the minimum of one raceday. Miss K.J. Harrison, rider of Daisy Spring trained by Miss Katherine Jane Harrison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
