The Stewards enquired into 2 incidents in this race, the first incident on the downhill run out of the back straight involving Bien Well, ridden by Mr E.D. Linehan, and Monastery, ridden by Mr E. Dwan, where it appeared Bien Well suffered interference, and the second incident closer to home, involving Ellas Ma, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, and Monastery, ridden by Mr E. Dwan, where it appeared Ellas Ma suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion Mr E. Dwan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having taken his inexperience and clean record into account, they suspended him for 2 racedays and ordered that he attend RACE for 1 days riding tuition.
