The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Blow By Blow, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed second and Tamlough Boy (GB), ridden by Ms N. Carberry, winner, where it appeared Tamlough Boy (GB) suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion Mr P.W. Mullins was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having taken his record into account, they cautioned him. Furthermore, the Stewards were of the opinion Mr. P.W. Mullins was in breach of Regulation 10 (4) in that he had used his whip without giving his mount time to respond, and having taken his record in this regard into account, they cautioned him also.
An I.N.H. flat race for four yrs old only that have not won a *race Weights - 11st 9lb; Fillies allowed 7lb Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 2nd December) may also ride in this race.
