The Stewards interviewed Mr J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Massini Boy, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. J.P. O'Sullivan in breach of Reg 10 3. by continuing to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone and having taken his record into account, the Stewards cautioned him regarding his future whip use.
An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven yrs old that have not won a *race Weights - 4-y-o 11st 11lb; 5, 6 & 7-y-o 12st; Mares allowed 7lb Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 28th October) may also ride in this race.
