He didn't want to be fighting with him in at the back so took a chance letting him on and hoped for the best. You wouldn't think a three mile chaser would want to go much faster but he was going so easy. I think the Bobbyjo Chase is probably next and it would look like he's a Grand National horse. The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the turn for home involving Delta Work (FR), ridden by D.N
Russell, placed fourth, Flawless Escape (GB), ridden by R. Loughran, placed third and Oscar Knight, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings
The Stewards did however find R. Loughran in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account suspended him for one race day
D.J. McInerney, rider of Lite Duties, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.
An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards rated 0-150 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
