After the third last hurdle Snookered (IRE), unplaced, edged slightly right moving Caius Marcius (IRE), placed fifth, on to the quarters of the winner, Anyharminasking (IRE), turning Anyharminasking (IRE)’s shoulder inwards, causing Caius Marcius (IRE) to be tight for room and to lose its position, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Brian Ellison reported that GORDON’S JET (IRE), placed sixth, was unsuited by the Good going on this occasion which in his opinion was riding dead and the gelding would prefer faster ground.
