The seventh and final fences were bypassed here following the fall of Gold Spear at the first fence.

Not the greatest contest but credit must go to winning rider Eddie Power for his enterprising ride on the winner, Arkmore Radar. The gelding was clear from the third fence and although fortunate the final fence was bypassed, the winner was all out to see off the challenge of Nine O by a head.

Arkmore Radar had the form to win here and can win a similar race in time while 11yo Nine O has proven himself a smart horse over the years and can still win another race.

Mutineer has his own ideas about the game but was a winner last time out and stayed on well again today to take a never dangerous third and can be considered in future races.

Non-runners were the three reserves.
