My only concern was whether she would let herself down on the quick ground. They have done a good job here. S. Foley, rider of Eternal Silence (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was restless in the starting stalls, ran keen and hung right during this race

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Jackie Oh, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that it got very tight after a furlong

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Dower House, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed eighth, and Tahiyra, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, where it appeared that Tahiyra may have made contact with Dower House when manoeuvering out to make her challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, W.M. Lordan stated that his mount had made the running and was running on empty when the field of runners quickened by her. C.D. Hayes stated that he felt that his mount was holding her line when he committed for his run at the same time that Dower House was running on empty

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
