A sustained gamble on Lethal Weapon (7/2 to 7/4) came off in good style. The winner was travelling almost too well early in the straight and once hitting the from with over a furlong to run had to be kept up to his work to hold off the challenge of Western Winner.

Leatal Weapon may not be the most straightforward ride as he swerved right close to the winning line.

Knowing Wink produced an improved display to take third and will win a similar contest.
