An enquiry was held into why the Veterinary Surgeon was not present at the start of Race 4 and, as a result, was late in attending to a horse which had been kicked by another runner.
The Starter, Veterinary Surgeon, Clerk of the Course and Racecourse Executive were interviewed.
Having heard their evidence, a report was forwarded to the head office of the British Horseracing Authority.
After jumping the final fence, the winner, Your Darling (IRE), and Mylesfromwicklow (IRE), placed second, shifted towards each other resulting in Mylesfromwicklow (IRE) becoming unbalanced after making contact with the hindquarters of Your Darling (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Your Darling (IRE).
