The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined From Eden (USA), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have had blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage post race
The Stewards interviewed K. Brogan, rider of Cherif De L'isle (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that K. Brogan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 6 racedays
The Stewards received a report from Mr. W. Fleming , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that R.A. Doyle , rider of Oh'herewego , weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that R.A. Doyle was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard cautioned him on this occasion.
