She won on soft ground last year but she is by Presenting and you'd always imagine the nicer the ground, the better it would be for her. It was a slog in Clonmel the last day. We will put her foal at some stage and try to get some black-type at Killarney next month, that's the plan. I don't think two-and-a-half miles would be any problem for her either. She ran well at Aintree last year (when sixth in the Grade 2 bumper) after getting left a bit at the start. She wouldn't have beaten the winner but would have been a lot closer only for that. The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last hurdle involving Gaillimh A Run, ridden by A.P. Heskin, placed first, and Pampar Lady, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, S.W. Flanagan stated that he was coming with a run and the interference he received cost him momentum. A.P. Heskin stated that there was minimal contact after the last and the configuration of the track contributed to the interference in his opinion. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Gaillimh A Run, had caused interference to Pampar Lady, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. A. O'Keeffe, that J.W. Kennedy, rider of Magic Dawn, weighed in at 1.2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that this was a comfortable weight for him and after having a sip of water and sweat absorbed to his already heavy pad this could have accounted for the overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.W. Kennedy was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Broomfield Gale, trained by Robert Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled on the way to the start and got loose
R.J. Condon, rider of Shanlaylin, trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slow to jump early on.
A hurdle for five years old and upwards mares only, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and have not run under Rules of Racing as a two or three year old Weights - 11st 7lbs
