He wasn’t showing much at home and he ran respectable in Thurles. He lost third place in the last 50 yards at Thurles and I wasn’t that hopeful today for that reason but I had to run him because the race really suited him and he’s won four times here before. It’s his track so I couldn’t not run him. I’m thrilled with that and obviously he’s a lot better here. He could come back here for something on the Flat. Thomas Mullins, trainer

A novice steeplechase for five years old and upwards that are EBF eligible which at entry are rated 113 or less (also open to horses which at entry are rated 114-123)
Weights - 5-y-o 10st 10lbs; 6-y-o and up 11st Horses that have not run two times in steeplechases and/or do not have a published handicap steeplechase rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 123 or less
Penalties - Performances in steeplechases before 25th February - for every 1lb above the rating of 113 1lb extra On or after 25th February - for each steeplechase won 5lb extra
