An enquiry was held into a possible malfunction of the stalls for the first race, where 4 pairs of rear gates appeared to open after the runners had been loaded.
The Starters were interviewed.
Their explanation that Arriba Arriba (IRE), drawn 4 and Last Date (GB), drawn 8, had appeared to anticipate the start, before reversing into the gates and the unruly Gypsy Traveller (GB), drawn 9, had possibly had an impact on the other gates when kicking out, was noted and a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
The Starter reported that Gypsy Traveller (GB) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 2.
04pm.
Kevin Frost was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Last Date (GB), unplaced, had a small wound from hitting its head on the stalls.
