Leaving the starting stalls Moon Power (GB), unplaced, jumped left causing interference to Along Comes Mary (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 1½ furlongs out when Jm Jackson (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Joe Fanning, interfered with Nellie French (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Breslin and Bob Beach (GB), unplaced, ridden by Phil Dennis.
Fanning was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right without sufficient correction causing Nellie French (IRE) to be checked and in doing so giving a small bump to Bob Beach (GB).
An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer that an employee of David Barron had left the racecourse having been instructed by a BHA official not to leave as the Veterinary Officer wished to examine Bob Beach (GB).
The Veterinary Officer, Equine Welfare & Integrity Officers and Barron’s employee were interviewed.
Having heard their evidence Barron’s employee was fined £500 for failing to comply with instructions given by a BHA Official.
The performance of Moon Power (GB) which finished unplaced, was considered.

The Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of Moon Power (GB) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Andrew Mullen reported that Plusdargent (FR), unplaced, ran too free.
Sean Davis reported that Along Comes Mary (GB), unplaced, suffered interference leaving the starting stalls.
