The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on approach to the line of this race involving Politicise, ridden by C.P. Millar, placed first, and Don't Talk (GER), ridden by D. Meyler, placed second, where it appeared the two horses drifted right on the approach to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Meyler stated that there was no interference but he felt his mount was intimidated by Politicise the whole way to the line. Furthermore, D. Meyler stated that about a stride before the line, the running rail on to the chase track caught his line of sight. C.P. Millar stated that there was no interference or contact made and his mount was following the other horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
