He's a horse that we've liked all the time and he's learning all the time. At Limerick the last day we didn't learn much, I'd say he stays well and loves that bit of soft ground. Knowing the family they get better with time and hopefully he will. He's a fine big horse. I haven't discussed plans yet but but I'd say we'll keep him at home. Padraig Roche, trainer
P. Townend, rider of Deploy The Getaway trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference at the last hurdle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Largy Debut, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost the right fore shoe, but to be otherwise post race normal
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Largy Debut trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount finished tired
M.P. Walsh, rider of Slip Of The Tongue trained by Padraig Roche, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked left going to the last
The Stewards enquired into possible interference at the last hurdle involving Deploy The Getaway, ridden by P
Townend, placed second, and Slip Of The Tongue, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed first, where it appeared that interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P Townend, stated that he was slightly down on the approach to the last and met with interference from the winner, which he felt had cost him momentum and the race having finished strong. M P Walsh, stated that his mount jinked left at the last hurdle causing interference to the runner up, but felt his mount was always holding the winner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while unintentional interference had occurred, they were not satisfied that the winner had improved its finishing position. The Stewards therefore made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
