The Stewards interviewed G.B. Noonan, rider of Presenting Lad, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. G.B. Noonan stated that his mount was slow at the last but accepted he was in breach of R 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that G.B. Noonan was in breach of R 10.3(i), and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 10.6(A), suspended G.B. Noonan for 6 racedays and ordered him to attend RACE for 1 day's tuition on the correct use of the whip
