The Raceday Stewards granted a request from P.J. Rothwell, trainer of Fernhill Fling, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i)
A.P. Kelly, rider of Martinstown, trained by Padraig Roche, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up injured
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Ol Man Dingle, ridden by H. Morgan, and trained by Eoin Griffin. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. H. Morgan, stated that his instructions were to jump off mid division and get his horse into a rhythm and ride a race thereafter. He further added that his mount struggled to lie up and only got going late on. Eoin Griffin stated that he is a disappointing horse, he wanted to get some confidence into him and hoped that he would run well. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Ol Man Dingle was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered.
