Permission was given for Call Glory (IRE), State Of Madness (GB) and Dark Side Prince (GB) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries and go to post early, and for Mary The Priest (IRE) and RAINYNITETINGEORGIA (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
Jojo Rabbit (GB), drawn 6, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Leaving the stalls, RAINYNITETINGEORGIA (IRE), unplaced, jumped left-handed hampering Dark Side Prince (GB), unplaced.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 1 furlong out involving Jojo Rabbit (GB), unplaced, ridden by James Sullivan, Maharajas Express (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Doughty, and Dark Side Prince (GB), unplaced, ridden by Oliver Stammers.
Stammers was suspended for 5 days for improper riding as he had maneuvered right-handed, thereby creating a gap to the inside of Maharajas Express (GB), giving a bump to that runner and moving it off its intended line, which in turn carried Jojo Rabbit (GB) off its intended line.
The winner, Catch Cunningham (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Beverley on 25 August 2024, where the gelding finished eighth of sixteen beaten 6¾ lengths.
The representative of Michael Herrington explained that the gelding may have appreciated the strong early pace on this occasion.
Their explanation was noted and Catch Cunningham (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Andrew Slattery reported that RAINYNITETINGEORGIA (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
Jack Doughty reported that Maharajas Express (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
Frederick Larson reported that Call Glory (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed in the home straight.
