The Sponsorship in relation to Contrast (IRE), trained by Michael Easterby, did not comply with the Sponsorship Code of Conduct.
Easterby was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that the correct sponsorship is carried.
Approximately 3 furlongs out, the winner Blue Medici (GB) edged slightly left-handed, causing Windsorlot (IRE), placed fourth, to be steadied, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of the winner, Blue Medici (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the 3-furlong marker involving Windsorlot (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Miss Sarah Bowen and Contrast (IRE), placed third, ridden by Miss Amy Collier.
Bowen was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, as she manoeuvred right-handed when insufficiently clear of Contrast (IRE), causing the gelding to be hampered and carried off its intended line for several strides.
Following the race, Miss Kelly Adams reported that Spirit Of Sarwan (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
