The Starter reported that Glory Street (GB) was reluctant to enter the stalls.
Paddy Butler was informed that the colt could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Seamus Cronin, the rider of Glory Street (GB), drawn 3, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Cronin’s explanation that the blind got stuck in the bridle meaning he was unable to remove it at the first attempt was noted.
Inside the final furlong, Jim Crowley, the rider of the winner, Mawsool (IRE), struck John Betjeman (GB), placed third, once over the nose with the whip.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
