Permission was given for With Style (IRE), Surveyor (GB) and Zenjabeela (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Valkyrian (IRE) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving, Ashtanga (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joey Haynes; Lincoln Legacy (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Joe Fanning and the winner, Lady Of Arabia (GB), ridden by Finley Marsh.
Marsh was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he angled his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear giving Ashtanga (GB) a bump, causing it to make significant contact with a free running Lincoln Legacy (IRE), which unbalanced that filly.
Approaching two and a half furlongs out, Surveyor (GB), placed third, had to be checked to avoid the heels of Zenjabeela (GB), placed fifth, when it was held in a pocket by the rider of the winner Lady Of Arabia (GB), who had held a competitive racing line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, William Carver reported that Valkyrian (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed and Joey Haynes reported that Ashtanga (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
