The performance of Shentri (FR), which started favourite and finished last of the five finishers, was considered.
The representative of Dan Skelton could offer no explanation for the performance of the gelding, other than Harry Skelton reporting that despite travelling well for much of the race, when the tempo increased approaching the home turn Shentri (FR) had been unable to quicken when placed under pressure.
