The winner, Dolos (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ascot on 18 December 2021 where the gelding finished eighth of nine runners, beaten by 45¾ lengths.
Paul Nicholls’ explanation that Dolos (FR) had benefitted from a 49 day break since its last run and appreciated the return to Sandown Park where the gelding has previous winning form, was noted.
Dolos (FR) was routine tested.
