Ben Pauling was fined £1200 for doubly declaring Nestor Park (FR) to run in the ‘Constant Security Services Handicap Chase (Class 3)’ at Wetherby as his first preference, but ran the gelding in the ‘Follow @willhillracing On Twitter Handicap Chase (Challenger Middle Distance Chase Series Qualifier) (Class 3)’ at Aintree which was his second preference.
Following the race, Jack Savage reported that Templehills (IRE), which was pulled up, ran flat.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
