The winner, Molineaux (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 30 November 2019 where the gelding finished eleventh of the twelve finishers, beaten by 28½ lengths.
Colin Tizzard’s explanation that Molineaux (IRE) had benefitted from a positive ride and by contesting a weaker race on this occasion, was noted.
