An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final 2 furlongs involving Euchen Glen (GB), placed third, ridden by Paul Mulrennan; Charging Thunder (GB), placed second, ridden by Jason Watson; Amtiyaz (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Hollie Doyle and Haliphon (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Ben Sanderson.
Watson was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left without sufficient correction, turning the hindquarters of Euchen Glen (GB) and carrying that gelding off its intended line, which in turn carried Haliphon (GB) onto Amtiyaz (GB), which was briefly checked.
The performance of Golden Flame (IRE), which finished last of the six runners, was considered.
Charlie Johnston explained that the colt was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Firm, Firm in Places, and would prefer an easier surface.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of Golden Flame (IRE) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
