Entering the bend leaving the back straight, a strong travelling Shuil Donn (IRE), unplaced, had to steady and shift left-handed off the heels of a quickly weakening Wicklow Flyer (IRE), unplaced, at the same time as EAGLE’S REALM, placed fifth, shifted marginally right-handed, resulting in Flashy Boy (IRE), unplaced, becoming short for room and its rider having to take a check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of EAGLE’S REALM.
Following the race, Mr Ben Sutton reported that Flashy Boy (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference entering the bend, leaving the back straight; the Veterinary Officer reported that Green Planet (IRE), placed fourth, lost its right-hind shoe; and the Veterinary Officer also examined Shuil Donn (IRE), unplaced, during routine testing and reported the gelding to be lame on its right-hind leg.
