Heskin, interfered with Balco Coastal (FR), placed second, ridden by Nico de Boinville.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved North Lodge (IRE)’s placing as the gelding was getting the better of Balco Coastal (FR) at the time of the interference with Balco Coastal (FR) losing little to no momentum as the result of the interference with 2 ½ lengths between them at the line.
Heskin was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift right-handed away from the whip without sufficient correction carrying Balco Coastal (FR) off its intended line causing de Boinville to ease his mount.
