See also » Unavoidable-another-winner-for-Donnacha He did it very well to be fair to him. He's a lovely big horse and just took plenty of time to come to himself. He has a big frame so I thought he would be a bit green today, and he probably was, but he toughed it out. Nice to win first time. He doesn't have a whole pile of experience, so I'd say he just got a little bit lonely when he got there. The other horse (Rock Of Ireland) seemed to fight back as well. He'll be a lovely horse going forward, hopefully. Yes, no problem (stay 1m4f). I think ground is probably important enough to him. He's a real nice mover, so I'd say quick ground is probably important to him. We will look for some kind of winners' race now and see where he stands. Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, trainer
G.M. Ryan, rider of Unavoidable, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around inside the last two furlongs
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Castleheath, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount missed the break and proved very difficult to settle in the early part of the race
R.C. Colgan, rider of Breathe Again, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly out the gates and slow to race on
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Jack Spriggins, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth, and Rock Of Ireland, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed second, where it appeared Jack Spriggins moved across to the railing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that B.M. Coen was clear when moving to the rail and took no further action.
