The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident two furlongs from the finish involving Lady Lunette, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed second, and School Of Law, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed sixth, where it appeared that School Of Law had to alter its stride. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. A. Powell stated that his mount got unbalanced at that point in the race and was satisfied that Lady Lunette had caused him very little if any interference. B.M. Coen stated that he was waiting behind Spanish Tenor for a run and felt he had timed it correctly and although both animals had raced tight he felt he had not caused interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action
G.F. Carroll, rider of Snellen, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left when she went in front.
