An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately a furlong after the start involving Sir Henry Cotton (IRE), placed second, ridden by David Probert, Dalby Forest (GB), placed third, ridden by Hayley Turner and Watermelon Sugar (IRE), the winner, ridden by Adam McNamara The interference was found to be accidental in that at the same time that Probert was moving slowly towards the rail, Dalby Forest (GB) locked on, therefore leaving the gelding placed awkwardly to the inside of Sir Henry Cotton’s heels, giving Turner no option other than move left towards the rail.
This resulted in Dalby Forest (GB) making contact with Watermelon Sugar (IRE), which was racing greenly on the rail, and causing McNamara to take a check.
Following the race, Andrew Mullen reported that, Huntsman's Moon (FR), unplaced, was slowly away and Mollie Phillips reported that Go Poppy (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
