Having jumped the final flight Chancer Dancer (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed despite its rider’s best effort to correct the mare, bumping and carrying the winner, Mr Rumbalicious (IRE), off its intended line around the final bend and into the home straight.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Dylan Johnston, the rider of Chancer Dancer (IRE), placed fourth, had appeared to drop his hands shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Johnston was suspended for 10 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that would have finished third.
Following the race, Bradley Harris reported that Nadim (IRE), placed third, was never travelling.
