The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.F. Levins, trainer, in relation to his failure to nominate riders for his two runners in this race, Akmaam and Carlton Banks, before the deadline of one and a half hours before the time fixed for the running of the first race had expired. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he had failed to find suitable riders for both his mounts due to the conditions of the race which meant only riders with a seven or ten pound claim are allowed to ride. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Akmaam and Carlton Banks and took no further action

The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.W Hassett, rider of Magic Charm, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M.W. Hassett was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for five racedays

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around the furlong marker involving Stay Local, ridden by H.J

Horgan, placed fourth, Magic Charm, ridden by M.W Hassett, placed first, and Bride Tree (GB), ridden by A.C

Persse, placed third, where it appeared Stay Local got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H.J. Horgan stated that he got tight for room from his right. M.W. Hassett stated that his mount was mount was hanging to the left under a left handed drive. A.C. Persse stated that he kept a straight line and did not contribute to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action

H.J. Horgan, rider of Stay Local, trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the last furlong
