She's done a lot of schooling, I didn't know if inexperience would tell today but I think what she's shown today is that she is very talented. I'm delighted to have gotten her out today. We could have kept her for bumpers but, especially when you see what is going on in the world, sometimes it better just to get on with it. She's over hurdles now, she's won, and she has her novice status until the Hatton's Grace meeting. I always take stock about what our next plan is but that will have brought her on a ton anyway and it's what she needed. I'm delighted for the owners, delighted for everybody and delighted racing has gone ahead. Conor has ridden her a lot at home, knows her well, and I think it has to help when they know a horse and know the stride on them. You have to use that stride with her. She's clever and at home she always looks at what's she's doing. It was her first time jumping hurdles in a crowd, in a race, and she is smart enough that she would have got it as she went along. That will bring her on so much. She's that kind of filly and everything she's done she's come on and on. She's bright, takes it in and moves to the next step. I'm very very lucky to have her and I know that. On everything she's shown us so far I think we can be a little bit ambitious with her. Ground wise that was lovely for her, on the easier side of soft. If God willing racin Mrs Lorna Fowler, trainer
The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the fact that nine of the sixteen runners had to re-weigh before this race, causing a ten minute delay to the start. Evidence was heard from Mr. L. Wyer, Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Clerk Of The Course who confirmed that the weights on the card were correct despite being in the incorrect order. Evidence was also heard from The Clerk of the Scales, Mr. Liam Walsh. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards referred the matter to the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board for further investigation
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Feelgood Island (FR), ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan and trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle. Evidence was heard from J.P. O'Sullivan and James Rath. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Feelgood Island was post race normal. During the course of this enquiry it came to the attention of the Stewards that the trainer had not appointed an authorised representative to act on her behalf. In the circumstances the matter was referred to the Referrals Committee of The Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Streets Of Doyen, ridden by P.J. McGrath, and trained by John C. McConnell. Evidence was heard from the rider and the trainer's representative Martin Fox. P.J. McGrath, stated that his instructions were to jump off mid devision and to achieve the best possible finishing position. He stated that he had mistakingly anticipated a false start and as a result had got a very bad position from the start
Martin Fox, confirmed the instructions given but under the circumstances confirmed his satisfaction with the ride that Streets of Doyen had been given. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Streets of Doyen was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.
