An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong after the start involving Terry Two Jags (GB), unplaced, ridden by William Carver, Little Roman (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane and Man Made Of Smoke (GB), unplaced, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson.
Carver was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Little Roman (IRE), which was crowded for room and forced towards Man Made Of Smoke (GB), resulting in Rawlinson taking a precautionary check.
It was noted that approaching the final furlong, the rider of Stelios (IRE), unplaced, steadied his mount and switched right-handed after anticipating the gap closing between Terry Two Jags (GB), unplaced and Dame Sarra (GB), unplaced, which did not fully materialise.
Following the race, Sean Kirrane reported that Little Roman (IRE), unplaced, hung violently right- handed throughout and the Veterinary Officer reported a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities; William Carver reported that Terry Two Jags (GB), unplaced, ran green and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding lost its left-hind shoe.
