Leaving the stalls, Haaland (IRE), placed fifth, jumped awkwardly and shifted right-handed hampering the winner, Mirabello Bay (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference going into the first bend involving Timewave (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Franny Norton, and Balboa (GB), unplaced, ridden by David Egan.
Norton was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift slightly left-handed without being fully clear of Balboa (GB) causing Egan to take a slight check.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Haaland (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished fifth, was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
