The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Zuhra, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
D. McMonagle, rider of Sheer Chance trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from stalls
Amy Jo Hayes, rider of Dare To Flare trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was slowly away
The Stewards interviewed Amy Jo Hayes, rider of Dare To Flare, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that she had used her whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency). Having taken her previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Amy Jo Hayes for 7 racedays and ordered that she attend R.A.C.E. for 1 day's tuition on the correct use of the whip. .
