Permission was given for Rhythm Master (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood; and for Imperial Fighter (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Stone Soldier (GB), drawn 7, ridden by Oisin Orr.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that Stone Soldier (GB) was prevented from starting on equal terms as the gelding had tried to go under the front gate just before the start was effected, resulting in the rider becoming unbalanced and unable to remove the blindfold, before being unseated as the stalls opened.
They ordered that Stone Soldier (GB) be declared a non-runner.
Following the race, Ben Robinson reported that Rhoscolyn (GB), unplaced, was slowly away; Saffie Osborne reported that Imperial Fighter (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; Jack Mitchell reported that Telemark (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, suffered interference from the loose horse shortly after the start resulting in him having to take a check for several strides, causing the gelding to lose its position.
