The Clerk of the Scales reported that Lorcan Williams, the rider of ROUGE DE L’QUEST (IRE), placed second, trained by Rebecca Curtis, had weighed in at 11st 1lb having weighed out at 10st 13lbs.
The rider, the trainer, the Clerk of the Scales and the Raceday Assistant were interviewed.
Williams was suspended for 3 days for weighing in at 2lb overweight.
Following the race, Shane Quinlan reported that Haut Folin (FR), placed fifth, was hampered by the loose horse in the back straight and Lorcan Williams reported that ROUGE DE L’QUEST (IRE), placed second, was badly hampered by the loose horse at the last fence.
