An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final ½ furlong involving Aquila Sky (IRE), placed third, ridden by Toby Wynne and the winner, Silver In Disguise (GB), ridden by Mr Edward Vaughan.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Mr Vaughan was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Wynne was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his horse to drift left-handed, when insufficiently clear, causing Mr Vaughan to steady his mount and switch his course.
The performance of Lyrical Genius (IRE), which was pulled up, was considered.
The representative of Charlie Longsdon’s explanation that the gelding was never travelling, was noted.
