Permission was given for Isabella Ruby (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
On the bend turning into the home straight, Heptathlete (IRE), placed eighth, lugged marginally left- handed carrying Klopp (GB), placed second, slightly off its intended line which in turn caused the rider of Puchita (IRE), placed fourth, to have to take a precautionary check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately ½ a furlong out, when Camachess (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Adam Kirby, interfered with Puchita (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Angus Villiers.
Kirby was cautioned for careless riding as he switched left-handed without taking sufficient steps to correct his mount causing interference to Puchita (IRE).
The performance of Heptathlete (IRE), which started favourite and finished eighth, was considered.
Kevin Philippart de Foy’s explanation that the mare was unsuited by having to race wide without cover on this occasion, was noted.
Following the race, Paula Muir reported that Isabella Ruby (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
