Jumping the second last, Ivilnoble (IRE), placed third, made a bad mistake and shifted slightly right as the winner, Special Acceptance (GB), jumped marginally left causing SMUGGLER’S BLUES (IRE), placed second, to be slightly hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Special Acceptance (GB).
Following the race, Mr Kieren Buckley reported that Ballymagroarty Boy (IRE), placed seventh, was never travelling.
