Permission was given for Alfred Cove (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and to be mounted in the chute; for both La Equinata (GB) and Palifico (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Taylor Fisher, the rider of La Equinata (GB), drawn 6, was slow to remove the blindfold, resulting in the filly being slowly away.
